Our Day to Day Program and the Public Resources we Utilize:
As we grow we are working to align our goals with the Hillsdale College Curriculum and our State Charter Mission:
A key part of our day to day activities includes an emphasis on patriotism and classical education:
Chorus every day for 30 minutes, featuring patriotic songs, Mozart, and other timeless classical compositions.
Encouraged piano practice in the classics for 15 minutes daily, with support from the school staff.
Daily reading of engaging classic children's novels, along with intentional exposure to masterpieces by Shakespeare, Plato, and other great classical authors.
Singapore Math, delivered weekly in line with Hillsdale College's recommendations.
Orton-Gillingham-trained educators who deliver structured phonics instruction to our K–3 students, as suggested by Hillsdale for creating strong foundational reading skills from an early age. Our staff receives training through IMSE, and we incorporate UFLI's free Orton-Gillingham-guided modules.
Hands-on exploration of original scientific discoveries in line with our vision, with particular emphasis on the contributions of Carl Friedrich Gauss.
Our Day to Day Why
Through dedicated time in chorus, piano, and the reading of timeless classic novels, we aim to produce excellent readers. Strong reading skills lay the crucial groundwork for developing a powerful scientific imagination, enabling students to explore and innovate with creativity and depth.
Our Teachers
Our core teachers are musically trained in chorus, piano, and have a solid grasp of key scientific ideas. Come visit to see our program in action and enroll your kid(s).

Classical culture stimulates the unique potential all human beings innately possess to learn and discover ideas. We are social beings, capable of doing good. We wonder, and are motivated by beauty.
These characteristics, common to all human beings, are drawn out by learning to know, practice and love virtue. Using original source documents, encouraging questions, and teaching eloquent speech to express one's opinions, a scientific, classical culture develops a well-rounded individual who is adept at solving and understanding complex concepts.
As with all classical education there is a heavy emphasis on the unity between literature, history, the sciences & music, because wonder about all aspects of human nature and the natural world is essential. Students immersed in such an environment learn to be morally aware of the past, present and future world. The larger global view engenders patriotism and love of humanity.
To provide each student the crucial intellectual and emotional development that is necessary to lead in the modern world. North Star Academy seeks to equip students with a scientific method to navigate and address the vast challenges in life.
Additionally, students will understand and appreciate American history, promote our country's founding principles, and engage in civil service. Finally, each student will achieve their highest level of intellectual, artistic expression.
Our

Our
Mission
The primary goal of North Star Academy, a Chartered Public School, is to build on the principles of classical, Socratic education. From astrophysics to music, or from poetry to robotics, our teaching will illuminate the common principles that connects all subject matters, such as symmetry, dynamics, and potential.
North Star Academy aims to establish research based learning with an emphasis on deriving lessons from original sources. Understanding the characteristics of historic individuals will be emphasized and explored in the context of their contributions to Western Civilization. Utilizing a well rounded curriculum, students will master their own abilities, knowledge, and confidence, setting them on a path to becoming leaders and contributors to New Hampshire's innovation and growth.
This developmental path will provide the students a moral and intellectual impetus to increase their responsibility for their life and the world around them.
